The Old Crown Inn in Weston, Bath (BA1 4BP) was originally established as a home-brew pub and was in operation as a pub by 1862. The building itself is much older, with parts dating back to the late 1700s, and it is known to have been an old coaching inn. It has been operating as a pub for 300 years, and was recently given a new lease of life.
The Old Crown was a home-brew pub until 1862, and retains painted lettering on a rear wall that reads "HOME BREWD BEER" according to the Brewery History Society. The building has been Grade II listed since 1984.
